Ronald Matthew Pollock (“Ronnie”) devoted his life to medicine and health planning. A passionate clinician, health strategist, and planner, he spent his long career, which lasted well into his 80s, pursuing the creation of better hospitals and healthcare systems.
He graduated from Selwyn College, Cambridge, and held posts in medicine, surgery, trauma services, and radiotherapy at the Middlesex Hospital in London before becoming a general surgeon in Inverness, Scotland.
