Global warming: experts demand urgent action to prevent public health crisis

Inaction on global warming will pose grave public health problems, climate experts have warned.

A report by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change1 said that reducing the rise in the global temperature by just half a degree would help prevent major public health problems such as deadly heatwaves, the spread of disease, and poverty.
