Screen time: two hour daily limit would improve children’s cognition, study finds

Limiting children’s time spent watching screens to less than two hours a day—including phones, tablets, video consoles, and television—would improve their cognition, say researchers.1

Canada’s 24 Hour Movement Guidelines for Children and Youth recommend at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day, two hours or less of recreational screen time a day, and 9-11 hours of sleep a night.2
