Women in England will be allowed to take second early medical abortion pill at home

The UK government has announced that women in England will now be legally allowed to take the second early medical abortion pill, misoprostol, at home.1
The decision brings England into line with Scotland and Wales, which have legalised misoprostol use at home for early medical abortions.
The announcement changes current practice in England, where women who chose to have an early abortion are legally obliged to attend an abortion clinic on two occasions. …
