New York University medical school gives students free tuition

New York University (NYU) announced on 16 August that it will offer free tuition to all current and future medical students.
The medical school, ranked among the top 10 in the United States, has an incoming class of 93 students and has 350 students already in the school. The free tuition was a surprise announcement at the annual “white coat ceremony,” where new students are presented with a white lab coat to mark the start of their medical training.
