Restrict use of antibiotics for COPD, NICE says

Health professionals should weigh up the limited benefits of antibiotics against the risk of antimicrobial resistance when treating patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommended in draft guidance published on 9 July.1
