NHS must make urgent plans for no-deal Brexit, MPs hear

Expert witnesses have told MPs that the recently announced 3.4% a year funding boost for the NHS, though welcome, was still not enough. They also remained sceptical about whether it could be funded from a “Brexit dividend” and called on the NHS to make urgent plans in case of a no-deal Brexit.
The House of Commons Health and Social Care Committee questioned witnesses on the implications of the five year funding plan, which would mean the NHS receiving an additional £20.5bn a year.12
