SU use and the concept of Modern vs. older SUs is a controversial topic, but very relevant to most of us.

We at SAFES (South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies) feel this requires lot of thinking before we come to any conclusions.

Most of the research and comments from experts do not take into account the differences between SUs and their supporting data. The results are generally packed in bags / clustered together and conclusions are made from them.

We published an in-depth analysis/recommendation and request readers to review this, as we kept the perspective of these different SUs and their mechanism of action in view.
