Ministers should repeal competition rules introduced into the NHS through the Health and Social Care Act 2012, the BMA has said.
Delegates at the BMA’s annual representative meeting in Brighton on 25 June passed unopposed a motion saying that these regulations were “wasting significant sums of monies in procurement processes, fragmenting care and destabilising NHS providers through accelerating private sector provision.”
