The Court of Appeal has given permission for the BMA to intervene in Hadiza Bawa-Garba’s appeal against her erasure from the medical register.
The BMA applied to intervene in the case on behalf of the medical profession, to clarify the position of doctors who are convicted of a criminal offence, not just those convicted of gross negligence manslaughter.
