As many as 1500 junior doctors face uncertainty about their future after “human error” at the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) meant that some ST3 candidates were wrongly ranked and may have received incorrect job offers.
Last month doctors throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland who applied to the nationally coordinated ST3 recruitment process were notified of their score, which indicates their likelihood of getting a job in one of 24 medical specialties.
