Re: Lyme disease: summary of NICE guidance, and ensuing correspondence

Although Dr Douglas from the Scottish glens has given the stamp of his approval to NICE guidance, there is the feeling of dissatisfaction South of the Border. Two members of VIRAS have eloquently spelt out (please see Rapid Responses) what the missed diagnosis means to the patients.

Of course NICE will say nothing - a matter of procedure. And NHS ENGLAND? They do not engage in debate. They only speak to the Rt Hon, the Secretary of State. In private.

Perhaps the Secretary of State could issue a statement?
