Another African famine?
No, much closer to home—in UK hospitals, in fact. The Telegraph’s recent headline summed things up: “Record numbers of patients are dying malnourished in NHS hospitals with almost one case a day.” Charities slammed the latest figures as “shocking,” urging hospitals to do more to ensure that vulnerable elderly patients receive help with eating and drinking.
