A company offering health screening has been ordered to withdraw marketing material that claimed their tests for peripheral arterial disease (PAD) could reduce the risk of stroke or heart attacks.
GP and BMJ columnist Margaret McCartney made a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) after receiving a letter from Bluecrest Health Screening offering screening for a range of conditions including PAD.
