Should doctor assisted dying be legal?

Re: Should doctor assisted dying be legal?

I am deeply troubled about your current poll about such a complex ethical issue such as assisted dying without a clear debate. Whilst many of us will have personal opinions about the subject that we may put forward socially – these simple and often biased arguments should not be what public representation of a ‘doctor’s opinion’ should be based on. Such a subject has such lasting and significant ethical and legal implications it should not simply be put to a simple online ‘yes/no’ poll that people can click on in a matter of seconds without truly considering both sides. As in reality I believe many can argue the case either way and are themselves on the fence about it both morally and professionally.
