London GP clinic sees big jump in patient registrations after Babylon app launch

The London GP surgery offering “virtual” consultations to NHS patients through a new smartphone app registered almost 7000 new patients in the service’s first month, official figures have shown.

Statistics from NHS Digital1 show that the Lillie Road Surgery in Hammersmith increased its registered patient list by 6897 from November to December 2017 (up from 4970 to 11 867) after it launched the “GP at Hand” service in partnership with the digital health company Babylon Health.
