Father is banned from visiting brain damaged son as High Court battle continues

The father of a brain damaged baby at the centre of a High Court battle has been banned from the hospital where his son is being treated, the judge presiding over the case has been told.

Police were called during a disturbance by Lanre Haastrup at King’s College Hospital, London, counsel for the hospital trust, Fiona Patterson, told Mr Justice MacDonald. Haastrup, 38, and the baby’s mother, Takesha Thomas, 36, have rejected doctors’ advice that their 8 month old son Isaiah’s ventilator should be switched off.
