Abolish the Clin Commissioning Groups. Save money.
Do you know that in the good old days, when there were fewer bureaucrats, there used to be "Regional Medical Officers" for general practice. They used to see prescriptions where a particular GP was way over the average or was prescribing drugs of " doubtful" value. The RMO would visit the GP by appointment and discuss,
There were few instances of trouble.
In the old BMJ there used to be a column, " Was it a drug?"
