Politicians cannot afford to rest on their laurels, despite recent steps to tackle the crisis in general practice, and must invest more in primary care and the wider NHS, England’s GP leader has urged.
In a keynote speech to the conference of England’s local medical committees in London on 10 November, Richard Vautrey, chair of the BMA’s General Practitioners Committee, called on politicians of all parties to support the case for further investment to help build on steps already taken through NHS England’s General Practice Forward View plan.
