Jane Anderson: HIV and human rights

Biography

Jane Anderson has been involved in caring for people with HIV since the virus first emerged in the 1980s. She is a consultant at Homerton Hospital and an honorary professor at Barts and the London and at University College London. As the long term outlook for people with HIV improves with effective treatment, new approaches to care are needed—something she has been working on as visiting fellow at the King’s Fund and as an adviser to Public Health England. She chairs the board of trustees of the National AIDS Trust and is married to the broadcaster Clive Anderson.
