Plans for major NHS cuts are shrouded in secrecy, warns BMA

Health service leaders have refused to publish details of their plans to make severe cuts to NHS services, the BMA has said.
The association attempted to obtain details of the plans, formulated by 13 areas around England, to make considerable cuts as part of the capped expenditure process (CEP).
The cuts, said the BMA, could extend waiting times, reduce access to services, cut prescriptions and treatments, and even merge or close hospitals and facilities. The CEP was introduced …
