Gynaecologist at UK’s largest Polish speaking clinic is struck off

A gynaecologist who worked in private practice at the UK’s largest Polish speaking clinic has been struck off for recklessness and dishonesty.

Krystyna Tajchman, who qualified in Poznan in 1980, faced charges relating to the treatment of two patients at the Green Surgery in Greenwich, southeast London. She did not attend her hearing at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in Manchester.

Tajchman was found to have performed two procedures on “patient A” that were not clinically indicated: a cervical cauterisation in 2011 and a colposcopy in 2013. In neither case did she perform a proper examination. …
