Action is being demanded to tackle recruitment problems in general practice in Scotland, as a new survey shows that vacancies exist in at least one in four practices.
More than half of Scotland’s 963 practices took part in the survey, and 26% of responding practices reported at least one GP vacancy. Of the 171 unfilled posts that were reported, almost three quarters had been vacant for six months or more.
