Shortlisted teams announced for The BMJ Awards 2017

Anyone in any doubt that clinicians are pushing the boundaries of innovation despite the pressures engulfing the NHS need look no further than The BMJ Awards finalists for 2017. The shortlisted entries represent inspiring and pioneering teamwork with patient outcomes at their core.

The awards, now in their ninth year, attracted 290 entries this year with three new categories included for 2017: imaging, surgery, and mental health.

The winners will be announced on 4 May at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.
