Rapid Response:

Re: Charging overseas patients upfront could cause “chaos,” BMA warns. Dr English's response on 8 Feb

Dr English goes on to explain the likely unintended consequences. He further points out the risks of BREXIT-induced deparure from the NHS, of EC professionals and their UK citizen spouses and family fractures.

Clearly, Her Majesty's Govt is not applying its mind to such matters. ( I refuse to believe that its collective cerebral apparatus is anatomically or physiologically incapable of thinking.)

Yours in hope

Competing interests: The fact that, like many others in the geriatric age, I had depend on a well-staffed NHS. Also, about thirty years ago, when we were very short of BRITISH doctors, I organised recruitment from the European continent. I was grateful to them for serving our NHS.
