Dutch and Swiss top Euro health index, with UK 15th

The Netherlands and Switzerland lead the way in providing good, consumer friendly healthcare to their citizens, as judged by the 2016 Euro health consumer index.1

The index, compiled by the Health Consumer Powerhouse, uses 48 indicators to analyse national healthcare systems in 35 European countries under six headings: patients’ rights and information, accessibility, outcomes, range and reach of services, prevention, and pharmaceuticals. The Netherlands consistently topped the index in previous years.23
