A surgeon is to stand trial accused of lying about his experience in order to get a job as a consultant specialising in keyhole bowel surgery.
Sudip Sarker, 47, has been charged with fraud by misrepresentation after allegedly lying on his CV and at interview about the number of keyhole operations he had performed.
