In Statistics We Trust

All in all 2016 was quite a year. In terms of its politics we could describe it as an outlier. I'm hoping that what is true of statistics might be true of politics in 2017. Regression to the mean suggests that where you have had an extreme value, the next value in turn is likely to be nearer the average. Here's to a distinctly average 2017!
