Government guidelines on healthy eating should recommend a plant based diet to reduce the impact of food production on the planet as well as improve health, campaigners have urged.
In a joint briefing paper the global health charity Medact and civil society alliance Eating Better called on policy makers and health professionals to recommend diets that underline the importance of reducing consumption of meat and dairy.1
