Doctors’ relationships with managers are being eroded by pressure on the NHS

NHS pressures are undermining relationships between doctors and managers, a study conducted by the Nuffield Trust has found.1
The Nuffield Trust surveyed 472 leaders and clinicians in management. It found that while hospital managers and senior doctors were working together better than they had in the past, relationships had been damaged by reorganisation and financial pressures.
