Eliminating vectors is quicker and cheaper
Nowadays, CRISPR-cas9 gene editing has quickly and successfully managed to engineer Aedes species carriers of many new catastrophic genes, stable transmission of mutant alleles to progenies, reduced fertility mosquitoes, etc. [1][2][3]
Even necessary funding for breeding and distribution of these genetically modified mosquitoes is provided by Charities.
Only political will, cooperation between various Countries, and elimination of corruption remain, in order to completely eradicate Zika virus infections from the Planet.
