Risks from less invasive hysterectomy are quantified in study

Less invasive procedures for hysterectomy are associated with a higher risk of complications than many women may think, a large study of outcomes has found.1

Hysterectomy is one of the most common gynaecological operations, and one in five women in the United Kingdom undergoes the procedure by age 60.
