Patients’ self reported satisfaction with GPs’ communication and their confidence and trust in a GP consultation are not related to the length of the appointment, a UK study has found.1
Longer consultations in primary care have been associated with better quality of care and improved health related outcomes, but evidence of any link between consultation length and patient experience is limited.
