The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has criticised Health Education England’s decision to appoint a non-medic to lead a regional training school for radiologists.
The college voiced its concerns after the national education and training body offered the post of head of the Yorkshire and the Humber School of Radiology to a radiographer.
The college said that it had not been consulted about the appointment process and described the decision as “ill informed and ill conceived.”
