BMA annual meeting: BMA is urged to define limit to GP workload

The BMA will undertake an analysis of GPs’ workload that will define safe working limits.
Delegates at the BMA’s annual representatives meeting in Belfast on Wednesday 22 June voted unanimously for a motion saying that the analysis was needed “to preserve patient safety.” It said that “the BMA should undertake an immediate and necessary workload analysis that can define safe limits of working in general practice.”
