GPs have backed moves to charge visitors from overseas for attending NHS general practices.

GPs at the BMA’s conference of local medical committees (LMCs), the bodies that represent GPs at a local level, in London on Friday 20 May voted to carry a motion calling for foreign visitors to be able to attend UK general practices but “only on a private fee-paying basis.”
