Supplements such as fish oils improve antidepressant effectiveness, review finds

Taking nutritional supplements such as omega 3 fish oils significantly improves the effectiveness of antidepressants in people being treated for clinical depression, a systematic review has shown.1
Researchers systematically searched for clinical trials that used adjunctive nutrients for depression published before December 2015. They included 40 studies with a length of at least 21 days and a sample size of at least 10 per arm (mean sample size 63).
