Type 1 diabetes is still linked to lower life expectancy

The gap in life expectancy between patients with type 1 diabetes and the general population has not closed over the past few decades, two new studies published in Diabetologia show. Although life expectancy has improved for patients with type 1 diabetes, so has that of the general population.
