In Praise of the Elderly

We're very vain and slightly insane. We want to live, but we don't want to age or look old. Since living and aging are inseparable, and old age is inevitable, we should view life more longitudinally and inclusively by honoring the elderly. Wizened but wise, the elderly yearn to teach us that senescence is not convalescence or obsolescence, but the very essence of our soul's solitary sojourn in space, time, and fate.
