Re: Lyme disease: time for a new approach?

More research is definitely needed into Lyme disease and co-infections. After having Lyme disease 28yrs and ending up having operations on feet and needing new knees and being severely handicapped by arthritis (why has it taken doctors so long to realise that borrelia infection causes arthritis?) I welcome this article. Research into better testing is long overdue and I cannot understand why the testing by the NHS is so unreliable when laboratories in USA and Germany have got far better testing. Why has patients blood not been studied more - blood put on a slide and left for a day? may show up the bacteria. Think that is how tests used to be done!
