The voices of patients and carers have become increasingly heard by NHS services over the past decade, says a report by the organisation Patient Opinion produced to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its feedback website.
The independent website allows patients, other users of health or social care services, and carers to share their experiences. When a story is published an alert is sent to relevant staff in the relevant organisation, including care providers, commissioning and health boards, regulators, patients’ organisations, and other local or national bodies.
