Former health secretary takes on another advisory role in private health sector

The former health secretary for England, Andrew Lansley, has taken on a role advising the drug company Roche, prompting fresh concerns over the “revolving door” between the government and industry.

Lansley, who was appointed to the House of Lords last month after stepping down as an MP in May 2015, has declared in his register of interests that he is advising the company on pharmaceutical supply and pricing issues in Europe until the end of November 2015.1
