Hunt summons royal colleges for talks on preparing for industrial action

The health secretary for England has been holding discussions with royal colleges to prepare the NHS for any industrial action after the ballot by junior doctors over changes to their contract ends on 18 November.

A spokesman for the Royal College of Anaesthetists told The BMJ that there was overwhelming support for industrial action among junior doctors “across the board, not just among anaesthetists.”
