Survey provides more evidence that patients don’t want Sunday GP appointments

Evidence is mounting against the need for Sunday GP appointments, after a survey of more than 800 000 patients in England found that only 2.2% would rather see their GP on a Sunday than a Saturday.
The survey found that four fifths of patients were happy with the current opening times of their general practice.1 And most patients (74%) who said that they could not make weekday appointments said that they would prefer to attend on Saturdays.
