England’s health secretary, Jeremy Hunt, has stepped up his rhetoric against the BMA in the ongoing dispute over junior doctors’ contracts.
In his keynote speech to the Conservative Party conference in Manchester on 6 October, Hunt accused the association of scaremongering by portraying the message that the government wanted to cut doctors’ pay and said that it was “utterly irresponsible” to do so.
