Junior doctors to be balloted on industrial action

Junior doctors across England will be balloted over potential industrial action in response to plans to impose a new contract on junior doctors from August 2016.
At its meeting on 26 September, the BMA’s UK Junior Doctors Committee voted not to re-enter contract negotiations and to ballot members. The BMA will release further detail about the ballot and the proposed industrial action in the coming weeks.
