Peter Henry Dickinson

In his time as a consultant at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, from 1958 to 1986, Peter Henry Dickinson was one of the major figures in vascular surgery in the United Kingdom. Together with his colleague, Ian McNeill, he developed vascular surgery as a specialty and the Newcastle unit as one of the premier services in the UK. This was based on excellent clinical care and technical expertise.
