Two suspected MERS cases in Manchester prove negative

Two patients who were quarantined at Manchester Royal Infirmary on 27 July with suspected Middle East respiratory syndrome have tested negative.

The hospital’s emergency department closed for two hours while the patients were isolated. One patient was later transferred to North Manchester General Hospital.
