Pressure mounts on drug supplies in Greece

Rapid Response:

Extreme shortages of pharmaceuticals in Greece

I report that all of my young patients cannot find any pack of their oral contraceptive pills.
Since these preparations are also used for a wide variety of clinical gynecologic conditions, I am experiencing serious problems in implementing proper therapeutic protocols.
Cancer patients also report lack of chemotherapy drugs.

Competing interests: I am struggling daily to cope with shortages of necessary pharmaceuticals in order to help my patients. Then I watch the news on TV where ministerial officials declare that everything is OK.
