NHS in Scotland needs urgent change for it to survive, say colleges

The royal nursing and medical colleges in Scotland have come together to issue a warning on the future sustainability of the health service. They have said that new ways must be found to deliver the service, because funding would not keep pace with rising demand from patients, especially from an increasing population of elderly people, and with cost pressures such as expensive new treatments.
